With McLaren finished testing for the week, Williams took over the top of the time sheets today, Ralf Schumacher completing a huge 102 laps and clocking a fastest of 1.12.988 -- eight tenths of a second slower than the lap record set yesterday by McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen.

Another warn sunny day in Spain saw Williams, BAR, Toyota and Minardi on track, with nine drivers taking part in the test which was fairly uneventful. The two BARs of Olivier Panis and Jacques Villeneuve were second and fourth respectively and both were happy that the team are making progress. Williams' testers Antonio Pizzonia and Marc Gene took third and fifth while Mika Salo continued as the sole Toyota driver in sixth, setting his fastest time of the week, 1.14.659. BAR tester Anthony Davidson took seventh and the two Minardis remained, in what has been their usual slots this week, bringing up the rear. Mark Webber continued to impress the team, finishing almost a second faster than Christijan Albers who is also competing for the vacant Minardi seat.

BAR's new test driver Ryo Fukuda arrived today to prepare for his first test with the team over the weekend. Luciano Burti was testing for Ferrari at Mugello today and Michael Schumacher will arrive in Valencia tomorrow.
