Schumacher looks to be incontrol of this weekends event. He is over a half second clear of Hill. 10 drivers spun off during the final qualifying sesstion. No one was injured; notable offs were Brundle and Coulthard. Verstappen spun off prior to completing his first qualifying lap. Rain is expected for tomorrows race prompting Schumaucher and Hill to comment that is it not safe to run the race in wet conditions.

Monza is still off. The mayor of the city resigned in disgrace over the canellation. Italians are holding out hope that the race will be saved.
