ITALIAN GRAND PRIX - September 10th 1999 FREE PRACTICE
MARC GENE' Chassis 04 18th 27 laps time: 1:26.069 "We tested different set-ups for tomorrow. I thought it could be a good session as it was at Hockenheim but I don't feel fully satisfied, so far. I certainly improved my lap time compared to last week's tests and I believe it will further improve, tomorrow. Nonetheless I found it hard to drive my car today, especially under braking. We will work tonight in order to find the right set-up for tomorrow."
LUCA BADOER Chassis 01 20th 28 laps time: 1:26.633 "Unfortunately this morning I lost the session of practice because of a drive shaft's tripod failure and in the second part I wasn't able to find a good car balance. Now I will examine all the data with the engineers and tomorrow morning we will continue the set-up work."
CESARE FIORIO - sporting director "Today was a pretty positive day. I like to underline that the distance of our cars from the faster car is further reduced. This makes us hopeful for tomorrow."
The T-car (chassis 03) is prepared for Luca Badoer.
