Jorge signs agreement with Gorne

Brazilian driver Jonatan Jorge (Pitbull Energy Drink/Montoya Racing) has formalized a representation agreement with former BAR Formula 1 team Co-Founder/Race Operations Director and former partner of Reynard - Rick Gorne - to his management company GOMAN, in a long-term contract with immediate effect.

Jorge, who has come from an impressive performance in the Southern Series of the Formula Dodge Championship, which included the "Rookie of the Year" title, is looking to compete in a British Formula series in 2003. "We were successful in achieving the goals set for Jonatan's career up to this point," said the driver's brother Jeff Jorge Jr.

"The management agreement with Rick Gorne, of GOMAN, comes at a very special time for those of us involved in Jonatan's career. Rick has an outstanding background as a driver manager, particularly as denoted by his work with renowned drivers such as Gil de Ferran, Max Papis, Luciano Burti, Anthony Davidson, and recently Alex Yoong, just to name a few. His ability to manage and leverage successful settings in the international motorsports arena is extraordinary, and we feel very privileged to have Jonatan under his care."

The qualities that Jonatan has demonstrated on the track, and his solid performance in the Formula-3 event in Turkey, are in line with a project that Rick and GOMAN have been devising, aimed at Formula 1."
