Jean Alesi today completed the second day of a three day test for the Benson and Hedges Jordan Honda team in Mugello, while the team's third driver, Ricardo Zonta, commenced a three day aerodynamic test, running over one hundred lengths of Vairano's straight line track.

In very wet and windy conditions during the morning, Alesi continued with brake material development and launch control procedures before a routine engine change was carried out over an extended lunch break. The team transferred its efforts to chassis geometry evaluation in the afternoon as the conditions improved. Alesi achieved the fourth fastest time of the day with 1:27.63 and completed 45 laps, allowing him further familiarisation of the EJ11.

Alesi will continue testing tomorrow for the final day at Mugello, while Zonta has two days remaining at Vairano.
