Pollock would consider decent offer for BAR

Former BAR boss Craig Pollock would consider selling his interest in the team if a decent offer was made. Despite no longer being involved in the Brackley based outfit, Pollock is still a shareholder and has a financial interest in the team. Although happy with his position he thinks that since he no longer has an active part in what he considered 'his team' his enthusiasm has waned.

Pollock stepped down as BAR principal in December last year in a move that came as a surprise to many, not least driver Jacques Villeneuve whom Pollock manages. Rally boss David Richards took over and Pollock recently said that he agreed with the changes Richards has made in the team -- letting go of around 50 staff including chief designer Andy Green and engineering director Malcolm Oastler -- and would have done the same himself if he'd had the opportunity.

Although not actively looking to sell his share in BAR, Pollock wants to move on: "I'm very happy being a shareholder and I feel inside my heart that it's still my team, but I do want to get on with life," he said. "There's no question that the decision that was taken has taken away a lot of my enthusiasm. Therefore, if somebody was to make me a decent offer, I would certainly consider it. The change was a very hard decision on all sides, but that is something you get over very, very quickly. I've always been somebody who wants to think about the future and go forward."
