A trouble-free day for Franck and Giancarlo as they completed almost 200 laps of Barcelona.

The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team completed a very productive third day of winter testing at Barcelona, Spain. Neither car experienced any delays, which meant both drivers could conduct a full programme of set-up work and tyre development for 2005.

Giancarlo Fisichella completed 102 laps, and continued his smooth introduction to the team. Today was his final running day of the week.

Christian Silk, Chief Test Engineer:

"Everything went very well for Giancarlo this week and after problems on the first morning, he has had a busy, productive test. He has brought lots of fresh ideas with him, and has made a very encouraging start to the winter. Indeed, he and Franck complement each other well in their feedback and this factor will help us make good progress during our pre-Christmas test programme with these two drivers."

Franck Montagny spent today working towards 2005, concentrating on set-up work plus electronic and tyre development. Tomorrow, he will be the team's sole representative during a wet tyre test for Michelin.

Franck Montagny:

"My running this week has been fully focused on 2005, with the car set-up, electronics and tyres. We didn't do many laps on the second day as we were focusing on the electronics, but otherwise, I think we have made some good steps forward in our understanding of the tyres and set-up for next year. There is lots of data to analyse, and it was a good beginning to our 2005 season."
