Renault F1 Team completes a spectacular Roadshow in Bucharest

The city of Bucharest became the latest city to experience the excitement of Formula One over the weekend as the Renault F1 Team staged a spectacular series of shows on the streets of the city.

This was the first Roadshow to be held in Romania and was well received by the public with around 70,000 fans turning out to watch the action. Both Romain Grosjean and the team's third driver, Lucas Di Grassi, drove last year's Renault F1 car along Libertatii Boulevard in front of the Palace of the Parliament close to the city centre. The shows included donuts, burnouts and power slides as the Romanian capital echoed to the sound of Formula One power for the first time.

At the end of the Roadshow, Romain Grosjean said: "This was my first visit to Romania and I have to say it has been a great experience. Everybody has been really friendly and there has been an amazing atmosphere in the city all weekend. This was the first time that a Formula One car has run in Bucharest so I tried my best to put on a great show for the fans to show them how special these cars are."

Lucas Di Grassi added: "I've really enjoyed my visit to Romania and the chance to drive a Formula One car in Bucharest in front of the Palace is something I will never forget. We have seen huge crowds all weekend and the city has given us such a warm welcome so I hope that everybody has enjoyed the event as much as I have."
