Friday Practice - April 30th
The Arrows Team finished the first days' practice for the San Marino Grand Prix with its drivers Pedro de la Rosa in 19th and Toranosuke Takagi in 21st position. Tora's second half of practice was cut short when he hit a curb on the chicane and then a barrier, Pedro had to retire on the track when he experienced hydraulic problems.
Pedro de la Rosa " I had a good session until the car developed an hydraulic problem and I had to stop. I am also getting used to the track, which has a lot of chicanes which made me brake late and hit the curbs, however, with a few more laps under my belt I am sure I can improve my time."
Toranosuke Takagi "I experienced some problems with my brakes during the first session. The Team managed to correct this during the break, however, on my first outing I lost control of my car when I tried hard to improve on my time, but it hit a curb on the second chicane, spun on the track and hit the barrier."
Prince Malik Ado Ibrahim "We experienced a few problems today, but we know that we can make the changes needed to improve on our time during tomorrow's qualifying. It is a challenging track for us and we hope for a good result tomorrow."
