Oris extends and increases nvolvement with AT&T Williams

The AT&T Williams team today confirmed that long-term official watch partner, Oris, has extended and increased its existing partnership agreement with the team for a further three years.

Established in 1904, Oris is a Swiss watch maker that designs and manufactures precision timepieces with a hallmark mechanical action, always incorporating a trade mark red rotor as an integral element of all timepiece mechanisms.

With a wide variety of models spanning dress watches to performance sports instruments, Oris has been a partner of the Williams team since 2003 and during this time has created several bespoke drivers watches, the most recent being the Nico Rosberg Limited Edition chronograph.

Oris will enjoy an extended range of branding on team inventory and assets including on-car identity, branding on drivers' gloves and overalls, visibility on the pit wall canopy and other elements of the team's trackside environment.

To celebrate both their contract extension and Williams' 30th anniversary in 2008, Oris is launching a premium limited edition watch, the jubilee edition Oris TT3 Formula Gold, with only 300 numbered units being released for sale worldwide.

On the extension of the agreement, Ulrich Herzog, Chairman and CEO of Oris SA, Switzerland, said, "The Oris brand has been a definite beneficiary of our long term relationship with Williams. This new three year commitment which takes us through to the end of 2010 is a sign of our desire to continue to derive more from our association with the team as Oris strengthens its brand, reputation, sales and international appeal."

For his part, AT&T Williams Team Principal, Frank Williams said, "I am always delighted when long-standing partners agree to renew their relationship with the team as it is the greatest validation of what we do. In a split-second business, having a watchmaker of Oris' stature and pedigree with us through to 2010 is a great vote of confidence."
