Williams Barcelona test 2001-07-06

The BMW WilliamsF1 Team concluded their week at Barcelona with a concentrated period of wet weather tyre testing today, artificially soaking the circuit to simulate conditions for wet weather tyres in the morning and intermediate tyres in the afternoon. Marc Gene, the Catalan Rocket, completed a further 85 laps today

"Knowing this area as I do, I thought today's logistics were remarkable. It is not easy to create the conditions for a proper wet test in Spain in July, so I have to congratulate the team, Michelin and the circuit in simulating wet weather conditions today.. Overall we have had a good week, and I'd hope some improvements will show on the car as soon as Silverstone. We've done plenty of miles here, and it is great that the team are working me hard - it helps to keep me sharp!"
