Following a few installation laps at Barcelona on Tuesday, BMW WilliamsF1 Team driver, Mark Webber, made his official debut today.

On Tuesday, Mark drove a handful of laps in the WilliamsF1 BMW FW26, merely to familiarise himself with the car and to prepare for today, when the BMW WilliamsF1 Team's preparations for the 2005 season officially got underway.

Conditions for the Australian's debut were ideal, with blue skies, a light breeze, and temperatures reaching 17°C.

On his first day as a BMW WilliamsF1 Team driver, Mark concentrated on getting used to the FW26, however, he also carried out some set-up work. He completed 59 laps, posting a best time of 1:15.387 minutes.

Antonio Pizzonia was also on duty, however due to technical problems, the Brazilian completed just six laps of the 'Circuit de Catalunya'. With the problems resolved, Antonio, who set a best time of 1:16.805 minutes, hopes to have extensive running in the WilliamsF1 BMW FW26 tomorrow (Thursday).
