ISR Racing runner-up spot in 2010 WSR

The 2010 World Series by Renault rewarded ISR Racing with a win in the championship's grand finale at Barcelona. Under the thick rain that hit the Montmelò venue, the Argentinean took off from the pole he clinched in the morning qualifying. He then kept leading all the way on a wet track despite the mandatory pit-stop, and ended-up with a 24" advantage on the second-placed driver. A total domination, on a 22-lap long event, as the Argentinean clinched third place in standings with 123 points behind Aleshin (138) and Ricciardo (136). Filip Salaquarda had to face a tough race, as he went off-track in Qualifying, and scored only 15th before finishing Race 2 in 19th. In the final drivers' standings, Salaquarda is sitting in 11th overall, with 44 points. ISR Racing has hit the runner-up spot among teams, at the end of a sensational first run in the championship.

"Ending such an incredible year with a win is what we were looking forward most, especially after not having performed up to our standards Race 1. This season left me speechless, as we cruised to 6 wins, second place in the teams' standings, and our drivers respectively ended up in 3rd and 11th in points. We must consider the win we lost due to a mistake at Silverstone, the missed event at Budapest, and the fact that Guerrieri himself missed the Monte Carlo round. We're now starting to look to the future, as Barcelona will host the first collective test for the 2011 season on Wednesday. We'll be evaluating drivers for the next year."
