Marco Bonanomi to drive for Comtec Racing in the 2008 World Series Renault

Marco Bonanomi is pleased to announce the agreement reached with Comtec Racing for a ride in the 2008 World Series Renault. The 23-year-old Italian driver from Lecco had multiple chances to test the car owned by Jonathan Lewis and, thanks to these successful experiences, the British team decided to pick him up on-board, in a bid to fight for title starting from the first races of the 2008 season.

Comtec Racing - featuring former F.1 star Martin Donnelly in the team's management - entered the World Series Renault three years ago, cruising to title in 2006. Marco Bonanomi ended up as a runner-up in the Euroseries 3000 in 2006, before joining the Renault-powered series in 2007. He's currently committed to the GP2 Asia Series with Piquet Sports.

Marco Bonanomi: "It's a crucial moment in my racing career, and having the chance to race with such a major team like Comtec Racing is just great, I'm really honoured. The team's staff shown more than once to trust in my abilities, and I have the same faith in them. I think we'll have a good possibility to start achieving outstanding results since the beginning of the season".
