Another round at Magione for the title fight this weekend
16/05/2007 - Two weeks after the exciting weekend of Misano, the "Campionato Italiano Formula 3" circus will reach Umbria, racing at Magione track.
Mauro Massironi got last year's victory in race one, while Davide Rigon obtained the highest place of the podium in race two. The top of the classification is this year quite uncertain with Paolo Maria Nocera having an advantage on the trio Marchese-Lopez-Crestani. The Mexican driver of the Alan Racing team will be absent, and this will give a good opportunity to his opponents.

Angelo Corbetta (Team Minardi by Corbetta, Team Principal)
"We are ready and motivated for this racing weekend. At Misano we were
quite unlucky and we got home a little bit disappointed, but the team has
the character to look forward and to find new motivations to always be at
the top. The F3 Italian Championship is tight, a lot of drivers can aim
to the victory and when you get on track you need to be at the 100% of
your possibilities to be ahead the opponents. The season is quite long
and I hope that from this weekend on we will start to achieve the
successes that we did not obtain so far".
Giorgio Faccioni (Scuderia NT, Team Manager)
"Three things are needed to win: a good driver, a good car and a bit of
good luck. We did not get what we hoped for so far.
Our driver has been awarded a year and half ago at Motor Show's caschi
d'oro and I am pretty sure I did not lose his driving skills; the 2007
car has been improved with a lot of technical details and the team had
the past season to get acquaintance with it; the good luck is a component
hardly affectable. The hope is that the mix of these three components
will reach the right equilibrium soon to give us some good satisfaction".
Gabriele Lucidi (Lucidi Motors, Team Manager)
"We lead the championship with a discreet advantage but we will not
delude ourselves. The quality of our opponents does not allow us to drop
the guard and we will need to keep the concentration high on our work
until the last race. As seen in Misano, everything can happen on track.
After the podium scored two weeks ago by De Marco I hope in another good
performance from his side. He is a talented young driver and he is
toddling pretty well in Formula 3".
