Caldarelli keeps fighting at the top at Dijon

Andrea Caldarelli continued to show impressive improvement in the latest round of the Formula 3 Euro Series at Dijon. The Italian driver ended up once again into the top-5 , almost matching the podium finish scored in the past round at Barcelona. Caldarelli, part of the Toyota Driver Program, cloc- ked the 5th fastest lap in Qualifying, taking off from Row 3. He drove a clean race through the full distance, ending up in 4th.

On Race 2, he didn't make it to the finish after being involved in a spin by Valtteri Bottas. Despite he managed to avoid the backup, he was hit by the car of Shaaban. "I managed to confirm the good moment of form showed with the podium I scored at Barcelona. I also proved that my front row start wasn't a case, but the result of a great teamwork that brought our Dallara- Mercedes to the next level. On my side, I feel great to be finally racing in the top pack. I've always been confident in myself, despite we ended up at the back for several reasons. The final round of the 2009 Euro Series will be starting at Hockenheim in a two-week time, and it would be nice to add another good result to my toll"
