AFR Championship Gets Ready For Beijing Race

The AFR Championship will have its 2nd points race in the new race event of Beijing Goldenport International Circuit (BGIC)-the Beijing Northern Race Super Series (BNRSS) on 11th & 12th, July. The Championship is featuring drivers from nine different countries and five top single seater teams in Asia.

After the first race in Shanghai International Circuit in May, Asia Racing Team (ART) is leading the team points table. March 3 (M3) and Champ Motorsports are the 2nd & 3rd respectively. The young promising Israeli driver Alon Day (team M3), is leading the driver points table with three ART drivers, Haryanto, Rouget and Sa Silva, following closely behind. We are glad to see that the championship is about to bring another close fight this weekend.

The Beijing Northern Race Super Series is an experimental event of BGIC in hopes of bringing a signature event to northern China. The event is featuring AFR championship-currently the highest level local series in China. Meanwhile Radical Cup, the new race series with LMP light weight sportscars, will bring its season debut to the event this weekend. Also, the BNRSS is trying to extend its racing activity coverage by bring in the touring car series and AGF formula series, another well known entry level formula series in China.
