18 - Stefano Modena: "The car is okay, although there still is the same gearbox problem as yesterday. But I hope the engineers know how to solve it."

7 - Alessandro Nannini: "Now, that the engine is running again, we got a problem with the gear changer. Up to now I got to say: This seems not to be my weekend. I really don't know, what I got to expect this afternoon."

12 - Michele Alboreto: "Its looking better and better. So I really see the possibility to finish all the two races and - perhaps - even achieve a good result this afternoon." e 20 - JJ Lehto: The time difference between my car and the other Calibras is getting smaller and smaller. So I'm very optimistic for this afternoon and think, I might collect some points. It's the first time, since I'm driving this car, that I'm feeling good and even confident."

9 - Manuel Reuter: I could do only two laps, then I was stopped by an ABS defect. Fortunately I didn't have an impact and my engineers know, what was the reason for this problem. So they could solve it. I'm really astonished, that I'm the fastest Opel driver, although I could do only these two laps."

15 - Dario Franchitti: "Can't find the balance anywhere. Answers on a postcard please!"

6 - Kurt Thiim: "I will have a slight understeer in the beginning of the race, when the tank is filled, but on the race distance my set-up will be the right one I think."

17 - Ellen Lohr had her team practice a tyre change which was done in a remarkable 11 seconds: "First we tried some small set-up changes, which didn't prove their worth. The tyre change was good, especially regarding that this was a safety change."
