Lechner Racing's second row full of perspective
During the F1 Grand Prix of Europe at the Nürburgring in Germany this weekend, Patrick Huisman and Alessandro Zampedri scored a second row starting position for the race on Sunday. "First row would have been better but we'll put some action on the track tomorrow to get P1 at the finish and that's what counts" said Patrick right after qualifying.
Qualification
Summer has arrived in the paddock of the Porsche Supercup. In warm and sunny weatherconditions the Lechner Racing School Team drivers Alessandro Zampedri and Patrick Huisman scored a full second row on the starting grid tomorrow with their red white painted porsches. "Normally I am not too good here at the Nürburgring so 3rd is ok for me. I am in front of my direct competitors in the championship so no worry yet"
For Team-mate Alessandro Zampedri the 4th position for Sunday's race is a little disappointing. "I know I could have done better but I made a little mistake in the chicane during my fast lap. The car was really good. Maybe we didn't even use it at 100 percent but only 95 and that shows how great the car really is and why we are not on pole.
The P3 & P4 of today's qualifying session shows the consistency of the team and the performance of the cars. "If you look at the Championship standings and today's qualifying session you can see that we are in an excellent position to maintain the lead in the championship after this race in Germany. But it is still racing so who knows what happens in the race. But one thing is for sure, the guys on row one will have a hard time so let them have a good night sleep!" Said Alessandro.
