"The times are so close," said Wheldon. "My car was very good, but because the times are so close we'll have to make improvements on the car to pick up a few tenth's for tomorrow. I'm sure we'll do a few things, but we don't really need a lot to be able to improve on today. The car did really well on a new set of tires and I'm confident my Gemstar crew will make the right changes to put us on the front row for Sunday's race."

MARIO DOMINGUEZ - # 17 DEL VALLE CORONA TELEVISA PACWEST LIGHTS
Position: 6th Time: 1:15.164s Laps: 14 Speed: 108.148mph

"We haven't been able to find the right balance for my car all day," said Dominguez. "We had a little bit of oversteer on the fast corners, so we'll need to work on the car tonight to get that corrected. I know my del Valle Corona Televisa crew will give me the tools to be competitive tomorrow, so we'll work things out in the morning a come out strong for qualifying."
