PacWest Milwaukee qualifying

Recap: This afternoon's qualifying session, which was scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. ET has been cancelled due to rain. The starting grid will be determined by number of driver points earned to date, which will place Dan Wheldon fifth on the starting grid and Mario Dominguez sixth.

DAN WHELDON - # 1 GEMSTAR PACWEST LIGHTS

Starting Position: 5th

"I think where we're starting doesn't reflect our true position where speed is concerned," said Wheldon. "We've been real competitive all weekend and it's disappointing to start fifth. It's a shame we haven't had a full weekend with more time on the track, but I believe we'll be very fast come race time."

MARIO DOMINGUEZ - # 17 DEL VALLE CORONA TELEVISA PACWEST LIGHTS

Position: 6th

"My car has been good during the couple practice sessions we've managed to complete, so it's really too bad we didn't get the opportunity to qualify," said Dominguez. "Had we qualified I'm sure we would be starting right up at the front. I'll meet with my engineers tonight and we'll put together a good strategy for the race to improve our position."
