Estasy qualifies 11th at Round 3

Adrian Estasy has qualified 11th for the third round of the CIK-FIA European Rotax MAX Championship in Austria this weekend. Estasy lapped the A1 Speedworld circuit at Bruck in 44.485 seconds.

In opening practice on Friday, Estasy's Xtreme Racegear Arrow was 13th fastest (and eighth in his group, 44.569s) before improving in the second session to 11th (6th in his group) with a 44.352s lap. Fastest in practice was fellow Arrow driver, Takao Matsuya with 44.146, a time two tenths faster than anybody else.

In the official qualifying session, Estasy couldn't match his practice time (if he had, he would have been fifth) and will still start the qualifying heat races from the third row.

Fastest qualifier was Melbourne's Matthew Wall (Arrow) who took little time to set a scintillating lap of 43.998s - the only driver to crack the 44 second barrier.
