Pelletier, Waring, Vincec, Herder and Gibson take final race wins
INNISFIL, ONTARIO After an exciting day of racing, the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels has crowned five of the nine champions for 2005. Most battles came down to the final lap. Maxime Pelletier won Formula Junior, Mike Vincec took RotaxMax Jr., while Reid Arnold the youngest driver in the championship took top honours in Canada Junior Light. Jeff May is the 2005 World Junior Champion, and Aaron de heus won the Canada Senior title.
Pelletier was the big winner on the day, taking two Pfaff Fast Qualifier awards, a win, a second place, and the coveted GM Racing award.

Cameron Motorsports CRG driver Maxime Pelletier took the first Pfaff Fast
Qualifier of the day. Pelletier led for the 17 laps of the 30 lap final,
before being passed by Cameron Motorsports teammate Mike Vincec. Vincec
went on to win with Pelletier second, and Cameron Motorsports Kyle
Marcelli third.

Rotax Max Junior
Maxime Pelletier took his second Pfaff Fast Qualifier of the day, when he
took the pole for Rotax Max Junior. Pelletier led early, before being
passed for the second race in a row by Cameron Motorsports teammate, Mike
Vincec. This time however, Pelletier battled back to take the win ahead
of Vince. Raphael Range was third.

Canada Junior Light
Andrew Waring took the Pfaff Motors fast qualifier award in Canada Junior
Light. Waring enjoyed a good battle with championship rivals Reid Arnold,
Joshua Gilbert and Jonathon Treadwell. Waring at halfway passed Arnold
for the lead and went on to win, ahead of Gilbert, Arnold and Treadwell

World Formula Junior
TrackMagic driver Dylan Gibson took his second Pfaff Fast Qualifier award
in a row in World Formula Junior. Gibson led while Josh Korenyi made a
move to go to second on the first lap, partially due to multi kart
incident in turn three. That same incident let Gibson get a substantial
lead, but Korenyi did manage to reel him back in, bringing Jeff May with
him. Korenyi had a look on the second to last lap but hung a wheel and
had to settle for second.

Canada Senior
Gold Kart's Aaron de heus took the Pfaff Fast Qualifier for the last
Canada Senior race of the year. De hues took the early lead but Cameron
Motorsports momentarily overtook him before de hues got the lead back. Di
Leo then squabbled with Gold's Pearce Herder for second, which led de
heus break the draft. De heus was reeled back in by Herder and Di Leo
with just a few laps to go. Herder passed De hues for the lead with three
to go. On the final lap, they were nose to tail, Di Leo had a look at de
heus in the back chicane, but was unable to make the move stick. Herder
took the win, de heus second and Di Leo third.

The GM Winners Circle award for outstanding skills and sportsmanship went to the Maxime Pelletier who had two poles, a win and a second on the day.
The objective of the SRFKC is to help foster a professional environment for kart drivers; help create a positive attitude towards appearance, conduct and discipline; help foster the employment of the best practices for the safe and fair running of competitions; and help kart drivers to move up the racing ladder to automobile racing.
