WESTERN STATES SERIES Midgets Head for "Rocky Mountain Classic"; TQs at the PAS

The USAC Midgets and TQ Midgets share the "Western" USAC spotlight this weekend, the Midgets competing at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Colorado Saturday and Sunday and the TQs competing at the Perris Auto Speedway in Lake Perris, Calif. Saturday night. A 20-lap feature event is planned at PAS.

The USAC "Western States" Midgets join the National Midgets for this weekend's "Rocky Mountain Classic" at PPIR's 1-mile paved oval. Rick Hendrix of Simi Valley, Calif. leads the "Western" series standings by 36 points over Wally Pankratz. A 25-mile feature race is slated in conjunction with a 100-mile USAC Silver Crown race.
