ELIAS OUT TO CONQUER INDIANAPOLIS

After an incredible weekend at Brno that saw Toni Elias take a fantastic victory, handing Team Gresini its 100th podium and strengthening his lead at the top of the World Championship, the Spaniard heads to Indianapolis this weekend even more determined to celebrate on American soil. After a difficult period the rider and team gritted their teeth and worked to get back on the right track, taking two consecutive wins by convincing margins. The Elias-Gresini tandem is the combination to beat in Moto2 and it heads to one of the most famous racing venues in the world this weekend looking to make it three in a row.

Toni Elias "What a fantastic day at Brno! It was probably the most wonderful victory of my career and to have secured the 100th podium for Fausto Gresini's team made it extraordinary. We have been working really well lately and I was really happy for me and the guys. We are leading the championship but we must stay focused because there are still many points at stake and even though we go to Indianapolis looking to win we know who o urrivals are. Going into the race in America we have to start thinking seriously about the championship and keep this objective in mind."

Vladimir Ivanov "I am really keen to redeem myself after the Brno race, which I was not happy with at all. Indianapolis is a new track for me so it won't be easy to start with but anyway I will try to stay focused and bring home a good result."

Fausto Gresini "The memory of Brno is still fresh in my mind. It was an extraordinary day for Toni Elias, for me and all of the team. We have reached a fantastic goal and set the stage for a great future. Now comes a more difficult phase and we must not lose concentration. We are still taking it one race at a time and not thinking obsessively about the championship just yet. We want to stay competitive over the last few races and, if we can, continue to win of course. We know that Elias is as determined and focused as possible and the team will try to put him in a position to continue to be the standout rider in Moto2."
