Notes: This is the first time Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires to Chicagoland . . . both the NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch will run the same tire codes this season . . . Nextel Cup teams have run this combination four times already this season - at California, Charlotte, Dover and Michigan . . . while these codes are scheduled to be run at those tracks again in the second half of the Cup season, teams will also run thils set-up at Kansas . . . as on all NASCAR ovals longer than one mile, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Chicagoland . . . air pressure in the inner liners must be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "This is the most familiar tire set-up Goodyear will bring to the track in 2004, with Cup teams scheduled to run this combination a total of 10 times this season. Out of all the tracks we will bring these codes to, Chicagoland probably has the most grip. This is the fourth year of Cup racing at this track, and as the asphalt ages, the racing groove widens out and should make for more side-by-side racing."
