Hmiel out for good? No word yet from NASCAR how long Busch series driver Shane Hmiel will be suspended from competition. Hmiel failed a random drug test and was escorted off property at Dover International Raceway and suspended indefinitely.

Hmiel was suspended for five months in 2003 for also failing a drug test. He followed a NASCAR mandated treatment program and has been subjected to random testing ever since. NASCAR plans to make more information public on Monday, but sources say that a permanent ban from the sport is likely.

The 24-year-old driver has been under fire in recent weeks for aggressive behavior on the racetrack. Following a wreck in the Charlotte Busch race, Hmiel appeared in interviews to be slurring and speaking gibberish; which prompted the random test.

Martin to trucks in 2006: Mark Martin may be retiring from Nextel Cup competition but his NASCAR career isn't over. Martin stated Friday at Dover International Raceway that if Roush Racing can procure a sponsor he will race in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2006.

"I'm excited about 2006 racing a Jack Roush truck in the Truck Series full time," Martin said.

Hermie Sadler being replaced? Rumors are swirling that Hermie Sadler could be out of the No. 66 Peak Fitness Ford as soon as next week. Mike Garvey has been rumored as one possible replacement.

After several sites reported Sadler's departure last week the team issued a statement adamantly denying Sadler's departure from the team. Team sources, however, confirm that replacement drivers are being spoken to and tested in the car.
