Robinson and No.49 Team Set to Tangle with the Lady in Black

Shawna Robinson has never raced a Winston Cup car at Darlington, but is ready to take on the "Track Too Tough To Tame". It's going to be a tough race for the Winston Cup cars, but Robinson is confident that her team will find a comfort zone somewhere on the track otherwise known as the "Lady in Black".

"There's just no other track we can compare to Darlington, so it could be anyone's race," said Robinson. "It's not even fair to compare Darlington to any other track because the characteristics are totally unique it's just in a class of its own. I really don't know what to expect when we get there because I've never raced on any thing like it. So, it will definitely be a test and learning experience for us for the fall race."

Robinson and crew chief Teddy Brown have chosen a racecar that is brand new and has never seen the racetrack.

"The car we're bringing doesn't have a track record yet," stated Robinson. "Some people may view that as a challenge but we view it as an opportunity. Darlington is an amazing facility and it is door-to-door racing, nonstop action for 294 laps."

Robinson will head to the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 at Darlington Raceway this weekend with one thing in mind- finishing. This team is on the threshold; it's just a matter of time before the No. 49 Dodge is competitive week in and week out. "We can't help but hope it will be sooner than later though," stated Robinson.

Bud pole qualifying for the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 will begin at 2:05 p.m. EST on Friday, March 15th. The green flag will drop at 1:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, March 17th and will be broadcast live Fox and MRN.
