SONOMA, Calif. - Ernie Irvan will be featured on all event tickets for the upcoming Save Mart/Kragen 350 NASCAR Winston Cup race at Sears Point Raceway, June 22-25.
Irvan, a native of nearby Salinas (CA) and two-time winner at Sears Point, will serve as Grand Marshal of the event and be honored during pre-event ceremonies on race day, Sunday, June 25. Ceremonies will include Irvan taking a lap around the 10-turn, 1.95-mile track.
The event ticket features a vintage picture of Irvan taken after his first victory at Sears Point Raceway in 1992. Next to Irvan will be pictures of the two cars he drove to victory, the Kodak Film Chevrolet (1992) and the Texaco Havoline Ford (1994). Irvan's signature will appear on each ticket.
Irvan will be available for autographs during a "Meet and Greet Day" on Saturday, June 24. A tent will be open to the public in Lot A at the raceway from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (PST), with prize giveaways, games and sign-up sheets to join the "Ernie Irvan Fan Club." Irvan will be there the entire time and sign autographs.
Irvan is one of three two-time winners in NASCAR at Sears Point Raceway, along with Jeff Gordon (1998, 1999) and Rusty Wallace (1990, 1996). The Save Mart/Kragen 350 NASCAR Winston Cup Weekend is set for June 22-25.
