Valvoline Grand Prix driver Johnny Benson, who is ranked fourth in the
Winston Cup point standings, enters this week's race at Texas with a brand
new chassis. Last year at Texas, Benson charged to fourth before being
involved in a turn two wreck that left him with a 42nd place finish.

Ron Hornaday comes to his car owner's home state with a totally reworked
chassis, looking for his second top 10 of the season. This piece ran a
total of nine races last season, including here at Texas. It is a sister to
the car that Hornaday posted a ninth place finish in earlier this year at
Las Vegas.

Interstate Batteries Pontiac driver Bobby Labonte moved into 19th in the
point standings after last weeks' 13th place run at Bristol. Labonte, who
is driving the chassis that last appeared at Atlanta, owns three third-place
finishes in four tries here at Texas.

Like his teammate Bobby Labonte, Tony Stewart is also wheeling the chassis
that he drove at Atlanta three weeks ago. Stewart is looking to improve on
the ninth place effort he and his teammates put together here last season.

Eel River's Kenny Wallace brought the same car to Texas that he had in Las
Vegas when the he and the team suffered a mechanical problem and
finished.31st. Wallace, who finished 21st here a year ago, is looking for
his first top 20 finish of the season.

M&M's Grand Prix driver Ken Schrader finished 18th the last time he wheeled
this chassis, which was last October at Rockingham. Schrader, who is hoping
to rebound from the crash last week at Bristol that cost him seven spots in
the points (17th), also finished 18th here a year ago.
