Did you test here?
"No, we didn't test here, but we had a pretty good car in the spring in the day. We knew that when it turned night it got pretty tight, so we kind of threw in what we needed for tonight. It was a little bit free this afternoon but after what we did last week, we were so terrible, that to come out here and run good, I'm real proud of my Kodak team I knew we had a pretty good car all day. We were top 10 or top 15 car. I first I thought I was a little bit too tight, but I drove off a little bit different line and made up for it. We got a good result from it."
Could you tell that the track had changed?
"Sure. We were pretty neutral to free earlier this afternoon, just with the track cooling down it's going to tighten up. It came right to us, I think."
Did the cooler track help you?
"Definitely. It definitely doesn't hurt. The later you go the cooler it is, seems like there's more grip. But it's tighter too, so you've kind of got to shoot it just right. Earlier this afternoon we had a free race car but we knew from the lessons from last spring that we would probably need that during the day to be good here at night. We're pretty happy with it. We ran horrible last week so to have a good effort like this and hopefully run good all night and get a good finish."
