Bob Glidden, G. Sleczi, J. Force notes

Bob Glidden has parked his NHRA Pro Stocker for the time being. He is working only on the Geoff Bodine engines. This was announced by Glidden on Tues.

Jim Yates has split with his long-time crew chief. This happened Wed. am.

Both these items were discussed on the NHRA conference call today.

Gary Sleczi and John Force were the guests. Gary is a very nice, very modest racer. He is really living a dream come true. This is the first time he will race on many of the eastern tracks. In past years he had to get back to his day job on Monday.

John Force, recently named driver of the year, has asked IROC to let him participate in that event. Thus far the response has been: No.

John said that he would spend his own money to go to school and to practice so he would make a good showing if invited.
