GASKIN NABS SUPER PRO WIN AT IRP

INDIANAPOLIS (May 21, 2006) The second VP Fuels E. T. Bracket series race took to the track on Sunday with Greg Gaskin taking the Barszcz Racecraft Super Pro title over Ricky Shipp. Gaskin posted a 5.027 second pass to Shipp's losing 6.323 second run.

On Sunday six points paying categories were contested during the day: Joe Barszcz Racecraft Super Pro, Automotion Race Cars Pro, United Construction Super Pro Bike, Rightway Automotive Street, Junior Dragsters and MPH Quarter Mile. Drivers who took home hardware were: Greg Gaskin in Joe Barszcz Racecraft Super Pro; Gary Hoggatt in the Automotion Race Cars Pro; Bobby Clem in the United Construction Super Pro Bike category; Patrick Thomas in the Rightway Automotive Street division; Nathan Smith in the Junior Dragsters category and Ron Finnley in the MPH Quarter Mile division. During the race one non-points paying races were held with Dennis Lester winning the IRP sponsored Trophy class.

Josh Netherton won the Staging Lane sponsored, Best Reaction Time of the day award, with a perfect .000 time off the tree. Best Package went to Jim Watson with .011 and Randy Shipp won the Pro Best 8 over Louis Wetherford.
