TOYO TIRES NHRA NATIONALS FACT SHEET

WHAT: 24th annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals, the 17th of 24 events in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Drivers in four categories - Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle - earn points leading to 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series world championships.

WHERE: Maple Grove Raceway, Mohnton, Pa. Track is located off the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Exit 298), 10 miles south of Reading, Pa.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 14-17.

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.2 million.

THURSDAY, Aug. 14
Sportsman qualifying begins at 8:45 a.m.

FRIDAY, Aug. 15
Sportsman qualifying and eliminations begin at 8:45 a.m.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, Aug. 16
Sportsman qualifying and eliminations begin at 8:45 a.m.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

SUNDAY, Aug. 17
Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m.

FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.

TELEVISION: Saturday, Aug. 16, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise two hours of qualifying coverage at 6 p.m. (ET).

Sunday, Aug. 17, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will telecast NHRA Race Day, a 30-minute news magazine show, at 11 a.m. (ET).

Sunday, Aug. 17, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise three hours of final round eliminations at 10 p.m. (ET).

2007 EVENT WINNERS: Doug Herbert, Top Fuel; Tony Pedregon, Funny Car; Dave Connolly, Pro Stock; and Matt Guidera, Pro Stock Motorcycle.
