MOTHER NATURE GETS THE BEST OF SILVER DOLLAR
REYNOLDS, Ga. -- The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series makes its final stop in the Southeast Division this weekend at Silver Dollar Raceway. This is the last chance for many Southeast Division racers to earn vital points in there quest for divisional and national championships.
Unfortunately, NHRA and track officials had to pull the plug on racing for today. The amount of time needed for the track to completely dry would have pushed the starting time to after 5:30 p.m., which would not have allowed enough time to run one round for every class. Qualifying and time trials will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, with each class getting two hits at the track before first round eliminations in Super Street, Stock and Super Stock.
Gates open at 8 a.m. with action scheduled to start both Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and children under 12 are free with a paid adult. For more information please call Silver Dollar Raceway at 487-847-4414 or visit them at there website at www.SilverDollarRaceway.com.
