Hanna & Clack looking for continued improvement in Dallas
ENNIS, Texas - After a respectable showing at last weekend's Lucas Oil Division 4 event in Houston, rookie NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car driver Will Hanna and Car Owner/Crew Chief Harry Clack will be looking to build on that during this weekend's O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol at the Texas Motorplex just south of Dallas. The Advanced Transmission Center/ Clack Motorsports team ran their best numbers at last year's event, and hope to do the same this weekend.
Hanna, 27, from Richwood, Texas, is excited about this weekend after finding a level of consistency last weekend.
"We finally seem to have the car starting to act right," said Hanna. "We switched to the Goodyear tires, and they really helped our tireshake problems. We got the car dialed into the 5.80's last weekend, so we just want to build on that this weekend. If we can do like we did last weekend and have a good, solid pass right off the bat, we should have a pretty good weekend."
Clack feels the consistency found last weekend was one of the biggest steps the team has taken forward this year.
"The past few outings the car has responded well to the changes we have made," stated Clack. "Putting the Goodyears on last weekend was a big piece of the puzzle. Hopefully we can build on that this weekend."
Qualifying begins on Friday and concludes on Saturday. Eliminations begin with round one on Saturday afternoon and will conclude the event on Sunday. Stay tuned to InsideTopAlcohol.com for the latest news in alcohol racing.
