Durango Team Tests at Mugello and Vallelunga

First TESTS at MUGELLO

Durango Formula, that this year will be the Benetton Junior team for the Italian F.3000 Championship, has carried its testing programme through signing a fastest lap of 1:40.872 for Andrej Pavicevic and a 1:42.056 with the Italian Giovanni Montanari.

First contact with the Florentine track for the Australian driver. During the first day of tests the 25 years old boy coming from Sydney, while studying the track's characteristics bump into a curb and damaged the nose.

A variable weather has accompanied these first tests of the Italian F3000 Championship that will start next 2nd April.

</pre> VALLELUNGA test

The set up programme that Durango team started last week at Mugello was carried on at Vallelunga. Although some technical problems interrupted the drivers' work, Montanari and Pavicevic were able to record interesting lap times: 1:05.883 for the former and 1:06.042 for the latter.

The 1st day test helped the drivers to know the Vallelunga track, considered as one of the most selective circuits. On the 2nd day, the fog delayed the starting of free practice and the team had the chance to work on cars searching for a good performance.

The team is satisfied and goes back home with good expectations for the first race of championship.
