The Spaniard Rafael Sarandeses may close a deal with the Italian team GD Racing
Barcelona, 23 April 2002 El Jarama Circuit will host tomorrow the second Telefonica World Series by Nissan Collective Tests (*), from tomorrow till next Friday 26 April.
The best young racing élite will compete in the FIA WORLD SERIES, which features the spectacular Dallara Nissan cars, similar to the current F-1.
Former Formula One driver Ricardo Zonta, (Gabord Competición), FIA F3000 Champ, Justin Wilson (Racing Engineering), and Franck Montagny (Racing Engineering), winner of the Open Telefónica 2001 Series, are some of the drivers taking part in this new competitive Series.
The Spaniard driver Rafael Sarandeses will be testing with the Italian team GD Racing, and he may be closing a deal with this team very soon. GD Racing has already confirmed one driver, the Brazilian Luciano Gomide. Gomide is the third Brazilian driver entering the WORLD SERIES, alongside Ricardo Zonta and Tuka Rocha, (Gabord Competición).
The Italian squad RC Motorsport has confirmed the Sweden driver Peter Sundberg as its second official driver. The Indian ace Narain Kartikheyan will be his teammate. Also the Belgium team KTR will be present at this test with the Belgian Bas Leinders and the Argentinian Nicolás Filiberti.
