Open Telefonica Donington Park

The FIA International Series doesn't stop for summer and arrives at the technical Donington Park Circuit for its third time in the history of the Open Telefonica Championship. Right after the english venue, the Open Telefonica will take a little summer rest, and it will be back at the end of September at Monza, with just two more meetings to go.

Barcelona, 25 th July.- Nineteen drivers are going to compete in the sixth round of the Open Telefonica that will take place at Donington in the first weekend of August . The FIA International Series has never been so exciting because nothing has been decided yet. The time is going over , after Donington it will be only two more rounds, so that drivers are fighting race by race to be on the top.

Nowadays, the current leader series is the Spaniard, Antonio Garcia (Adrian Campos Motorsport), with 139 points, shorthly followed by his team mate the french Patrice Guy who is third, and the italian Giuseppe Burlotti (Vergani Racing) with 10 points from Garcia.

Marc Gene, F-1 driver who is going to compete this weekend in the F-1 Germany Grand Prix at Hockenheim circuit will be the special TVE commentator of both races in Donington Park. Marc Gene( TelefonicaMinardi ) won both races in the english track two years ago, and also was the winner in the Open Telefonica Championship.

Both races will be broadcasted in live, the first (16 laps) on Sunday the 6th at 11.30 pm and the second ( 25 laps) at 14.00 pm.
