Victorious Ho-Pin Tung in final race Superleague Formula

Ho-Pin Tung could not have wished for a better end of the 2009 Superleague Formula race series. Celebrating on the highest step of the podium was a result of a strong second race of the day at the Jarama race circuit. Despite a strong first five laps in the first race, climbing from fifth to third the Dutch Chinese driver did not finish the first race due to a broken brake line.

"I am very satisfied all the pieces finally fall into place,' says a relieved Ho-Pin Tung after finishing in fouth place in the SuperFinal race. Ho-Pin:'In race 2 I had a great start and was driving in second position. During the safety car period I knew I had a shot at first place. The car felt good and I managed to overtake from the outside for first place. I was able to build a comfortable lead, the pitstop went fine and I finished in first place,'according to a happy Ho-Pin Tung.

Reaching fourth place in the SuperFinal race was a little bit of a miracle because a damper broke on the car and all he could do was to bring the car home.

Ho-Pin Tung:"This was a very good weekend. During the season we have had our share of bad luck but despite all those problems victory tastes sweet.Together with the second position achieved at Zolder, this is the highlight of 2009. I Can't wait for the 2010 season!"
