PAUL FIX GOES WEST TO SAN JOSE GRAND PRIX LOOKS FOR GT1 THREEPEAT

July 27, 2005 (Buffalo, NY)- Paul Fix will take the #77 Fix Motorsports /Stopflex /Drive! Magazine Mustang Cobra to the Taylor Woodrow Grand Prix of San Jose July 29-30 for the Cytomax 100. Fix will be looking to repeat his successful performances at the Cleveland and Toronto events, where Fix earned the GT1 poles and race wins. In addition, Fix has placed within the top five overall during the 2005 campaign.

Fix has set his sights on the GT1 Championship during this 40th anniversary of the Trans-Am Series. The team looks to earn valuable points at the inaugural Grand Prix of San Jose.

"The guys have done a great job of preparing the car," Fix commented. "Everyone has made the commitment to achieve the GT1 title. The car has been very reliable and consistent, I don't see anything changing."

The #77 Mustang will enter the San Jose event just 21 points back of first in the GT1 category. While winning the title is a goal, Fix also intends to achieve overall results as well. "An overall finishing position is important too," said Fix. "Not only do we need GT1 points, but I look to place as high up the finishing order as we can. A season ending top ten overall in the points is very attainable."

The Cytomax Sport Drink 100, Round 6 of the 2005 Trans-Am Championship and part of the inaugural Taylor Woodrow San Jose Grand Prix weekend, is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, July 29-30, 2005. Saturday's race will air Sunday, Aug. 7 on SPEED Channel at 1 p.m. EDT.
