Trans-Am Drivers Ride in Tour de Road America
August 17, 2005 - Elkhart Lake, WI - Trans-Am drivers take to the track on their bikes. Paul Fix (#77 Stopflex/ Pennzoil/ Drive! Magazine Mustang); Randy Ruhlman (#49 Preformed Line Products Chevrolet Corvette) and Todd Benne (Team Manager for Paul Fix) rode in the 2005 Tour de Road America, which benefits the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Fans and drivers from each series rode the Road America track from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
The 4.048-mile road course in the picturesque Wisconsin countryside has been a part of the weekend activities. The event was in conjunction with the Road America 500 / American Le Mans Series / Trans-Am Series race weekend.
Both drivers will compete in the The Rumble at the Road, scheduled for Sunday, August 21, 2005. Sunday's race, which starts at 10:25 a.m. CDT, will air Sunday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. EDT on SPEED Channel.
