Teddy Beach of Donnelsville, Ohio captured Wednesday night's "Diversified Insurance Brokerage Group 100" at the Blossom Chevrolet Indianapolis Speedrome and now eyes the July 23-24 National Midget race at the Milwaukee (Wisc.) Mile.
Beach is third in the National standings after he and his brother dominated Wednesday's leader chart. Todd led the first 64 laps, then Teddy took over and led the remaining 36 in his Beach Mfg./Fram Beast/Mopar. The race, part of the "Vogler Classic," was the first for National Midgets at the track in 15 years.
Billy Wease took second ahead of Dave Steele, new track record holder Josh Wise and Speedrome Regional Midget point leader Sondi Eden.
Wise erased Wease's five-week-old track record during qualifications with his lap of 11.792 seconds.
The National series now gears up for the July 23-24 "Milwaukee Mile 25" at the famed 1-mile Wisconsin oval. Stan Fox won USAC's last Midget race at Milwaukee, a 25-miler in 1993.
