Jack Hewitt has been released from Indianapolis' Methodist Hospital and is now at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana, continuing his recuperation from injuries suffered in a July 22 USAC Sprint car race at North Vernon, Ind.
Jack is in great spirits and is making significant daily progress. As a result, he is expected to be released from the Rehabilitation Hospital sometime next week to return to his home in Troy, Ohio.
He has been up and walking with the aid of a cane as he continues to recover from a condition termed "paresis" or "weaking of the muscles."

Shane Scully Update
USAC Western Midget Car Series point leader Shane Scully has been released from Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kans. after treatment for a concussion suffered in an accident during Friday night's USAC National/Western Midget Car race at Belleville, Kans. He will continue to recuperate at his Encino, Calif. home.
