Carlos Sainz, Juh Kankkunen and Prodrive/Subaru's Dave Richards have all spoken out against the proposed changes to the WRC rules announced recently.
While Kankkunen threatened to retire if four-wheel drive was banned from the WRC, Sainz went into more detail, saying that the changes would help to kill off the sport as a spectacular form of motorsport.
Subaru has argued that 95% of its car sales are 4WD, and that the changes to the rules would almost certainly see them pull out of the WRC.
Richards is convinced that the changes to the two wheel drive formula would not be a cheap alternative.
Would anybody interested in the ARC or WRC please email so i can add you to an WRC/ARC Database. Thank You.
