SEAT Sport has the title within reach
The penultimate FIA World Touring Car Championship meeting is taking place at Japan's Okayama circuit next weekend, and promises to be SEAT's first opportunity for clinching the World Championship title in both Drivers' and Manufacturers' classifications. With only four races left to be disputed (Japan and Macau), the right combination of good results could give SEAT the overall victory.
Despite this promising news, the SEAT Sport team is going into the Japanese meeting with the necessary caution, since the Okayama circuit is new on the WTCC calendar. Although they lack any previous experience with this track, the SEAT Sport technicians feel it will not be one of the most suited to the SEAT Leon TDI. However, with the car's exceptional performance, and the team's and drivers' outstanding track record throughout the season, there is still hope that their success is well within reach.
