Flying Lizard Hour Six Report
Going into hour four with Darren Law behind the wheel in second in GT2 class, he and the class leader are running consistent lap times with Law one lap behind the leader.
At the four hour mark, No. 45 is brought into the pits for a driver change to Jon Fogarty, tires and fuel. The car was sent back out two laps behind the leader.
During Fogarty's stint, he kept the car in second place with consistent lap times as the race gets into a rhythm.
Approximately five hours into the race - driver change to Johannes van Overbeek as well as fuel and tires. The car went back out two laps down from leader
Only 20 minutes into van Overbeek's stint, a full course yellow was called. The team pitted under yellow and changed the front brake pads. After one lap out still under yellow, the team opted to bring the car in again for a front brake change.
"It's been an exciting race so far. We've made it to the halfway point and are happy to be in second position in class. So much can happen during a 12-hour race, especially with track conditions like Sebring's. It's hard on the car, the drivers and the equipment. Right now, we are trying to stay out of trouble and keep at the front of the pack, said Jon Fogarty. The race has been light on cautions - we were lucky to be able to do our front brake change under yellow. Right now, just past the halfway point, it's clear that everyone has gotten into their rhythm of driving- we need to keep pushing ahead."
At the six hour mark, the No. 45 is still running second in GT2 class.
