MAGNUSSEN'S SEBRING VICTORY ADDS TO SERIES LEGACY

Saturday's GT1 victory at the 57th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida was one of multiple significances for Jan Magnussen in his distinguished career. Corvette Racing's Danish star earned his 100th career racing victory, a feat that makes him the only driver to win a Series race in all 11 seasons. The event also marked the 100th in the history of the American Le Mans Series.

Magnussen, Johnny O'Connell and Antonio Garcia posted a one-lap victory at Sebring in their E85-powered Corvette C6.R, setting records for fastest average speed and most laps completed by a GT car at the circuit since the Series debuted there in 1999.

They also claimed the first GT trophy in the MICHELIN Green X Challenge for Corvette Racing as the fastest and most efficient GT-class car.

"Winning my 100th race in the 100th American Le Mans Series event is perfect," said Magnussen. "I'm so happy for Johnny, and to welcome Antonio to the team with a win couldn't be better. We had a nearly perfect race - we didn't make any mistakes and everything went according to plan. A victory here is the best possible preparation we could have for Le Mans."
