British F3 Championship Álvaro Parente has his eyes on the Pole at Snetterton
Álvaro Parente, the driver from de Luís Figo Foundation, is confident of a good performance on the fifth stage of the British F3 Championship, that will take place at Snetterton, circuit where he was always very fast in the pre-season testing, next weekend (5/6 June). Besides the two scheduled races (9th and 10th), Parente will also participate in another race held saturday, where he will start from the tenth position of the grid, which replaces the race that was cancelled at Silverstone, in April, due to bad weather conditions.
"I am confident that I may obtain good results at Snetterton, since I was always amongst the fastest during the pre-season testing, with the exception of the last session, in which the Team later found out that we had some problems in the shock absorbers", explained the driver from Team Portugal.
Relatively to the track lineout, Parente underlines that there will be no overtaking problems at Snetterton, which differs from some other British tracks.
"Snetterton has a big straight where we can overtake without any problem. Nevertheless, my goal is to do a good free practice session, if possible obtain the pole position, so that I may start upfront, since that facilitates the task of someone who aspires to fight for the first places", concluded the young Álvaro Parente.
