Jim Clark test next for Gamble & Link

Fresh from their dominant win on the tricky RBS Manx International Rally, Wolverhampton based Mark Gamble and Stourport resident Steve Link head to this weekends Jim Clark 'stars' Rally in a confident mood.

The pair, who currently lie second in the British Rally Championship 'stars' standings, were contesting the Manx International as part of their VK1400 campaign and overcame atrocious weather to win their class by more than 8 minutes on the two day event! This result, and the tarmac experience Mark has gained in his Jam Motorsport run, Towergate Insurance and Midland Steels Section Ltd backed Citroen C2 means the pair are confident of a strong run on the South Scottish event.

We recently contested the Manx International, which was a great event to prepare for the Jim Clark and I am really happy with the set up of the car now. Last year I finished second in class on the Jim Clark Rally so am really looking forward to this weekend.

The 2007 Jim Clark 'stars' Rally begins early on Saturday morning and ends after a long and intense day of rallying along closed public rounds around the home of Jim Clark, in South Scotland. The ceremonial finish will be back in Kelso late in the afternoon.
